About us
What we believe
Our doctrinal summary, and the Baptist Faith and Message (2000) we hold as our confession of faith.
Our mission
We exist to glorify God by being and making faithful disciples of Jesus Christ.
What is the gospel?
That God saves sinners through the life, death and resurrection of his Son - by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. It is the message the preaching here keeps returning to, week after week.
- Scripture
- Preaching works through whole books of the Bible, passage by passage.
- Reformed Baptist
- Baptist in conviction and Reformed in doctrine, holding the Baptist Faith and Message (2000).
- Local church
- A congregation on Jefferson Park Avenue since 1962, next to the University of Virginia.

Virginia Institute of Theology
Training disciples in Charlottesville to hold firm to the trustworthy Word as it was taught, in the church, for the church. Taught by Dr. Keith Goad Mondays, 6:00–7:30pm (Foundation) and 7:30–9:00pm (Seminary).
Come and see for yourself
Sunday morning is the best place to start. If you would rather ask a question first, someone from the church will answer it.
